Abom1331 0
So I upgraded the RAM in my Daughter In law's computer from 24 gig to 32 gig on a MSI 990FXA GAMING (MS 7893) "My old computer I gave her" The motherboard maxes out at 32 gig at 2133 MHz. The 32 gig pack I installed was a Corsair VENGEANCE Pro 32GB DDR3 2400MHz OC. I figured that I could set the frequency in the BIOS to 2133 MHz and Windows would recognize that. I have never set frequency in the BIOS so I'm not familiar with it. So I Took some pics to help you help me. So pic #1 the frequency. I then rebooted back into the BIOS to make sure the settings held. pic #2 I then booted into Windows and checked Task Manager to find this. pic #3 Running at 1066 MHz. I don't think I need to enable XMP as the RAM is 2400 MHz and the Motherboard supports up to 2133 MHz So how do I get Window to recognize the 2133 MHz that set in the BIOS??
