Hi folks, I wanted to quickly reiterate a problem I’m having, and then point the community to a link I found that might help some people experiencing similar issues.
Windows 10 (currently using the latest / last update) decided to assign my Admin account a PIN, without telling me of course. To make this more wonderful, it does not provide my password as an alternative log-in option, nor does it present a "I forgot my PIN" option.
Let me reiterate that: There are NO OTHER OPTIONS AT ALL FOR LOGGING IN TO MY ADMIN ACCOUNT. None. Zilch. RMB-clicking brings up no other options. Clicking in the password / PIN field brings up no other options. ONLY the empty field is displayed, and ONLY the unknown PIN is requested.
So, I did a search engine, well, search, and found this:
Windows 10 PIN? Never Set! Fix It Now - wingeek
I do not know if any of these remedies apply to Admin accounts, as I’m waiting on that blogger’s response. But, perhaps this will help others here who’ve experienced this.
