Hi I have a problem that's driving me mad... for some reason I think Windows 11 keeps unloading my Chrome tabs and some programs from memory.
When they behave I can switch tabs and windows instantly as I did before I installed Win 11 when using Win 10 a month ago. However most of the time my tabs and programs do not behave and can take a second or two to load just by using alt-tab or clicking the appropriate program in the taskbar or clicking the tab in Chrome. When I leave programs unminimized they seem to stay in memory and load instantly. If I minimize them or switch to other tabs in Chrome that's when the sluggishness happens. In addition when initially loading programs everything is quite responsive. I'm guessing for some odd reason Windows 11 is unloading programs and tabs from memory.
I'm only at 17 out of 32 GB of memory used. I turned off graphics acceleration out of desperation in Chrome with no benefit. Also I turned Nvidia power management mode to max performance for my 5070Ti GPU with no benefit. And I optimized visual effects for best performance with no benefit. And finally I am using a custom power plan derived from a max performance power plan.
Anybody have any ideas what infectious demon is cursing my computer? I could record a video if that would help.
