Drag & Drop on folder shortcut on Desktop not working - Permiss.exist!

clsven

Question

In File Explorer I connected the local computer to a remote computer in inhouse LAN with Login+Password.
Afterwards I placed a shortcut to a remote folder on the remote computer on the local Desktop background.

When I double click on it I can see the remote folder content. I can even copy local files and paste them into this remote folder.
So in general the access works. All writing permissions exists.

Now I want not only to do file copy operation by copy+paste but by drag & drop from File Explorer.

Therefore I dragged a local sample file and tried to let it drop above the remote folder shortcut on local Desktop.

But it didn't work. Win 10 shows my a tiny "stop" icon when hovering above the remote folder shortcut.

Why?

The described Drag & Drop works for local folder shortcuts on local Desktop but not for remote folder shortcuts.

How can I use drag & drop to copy files for remote folders too?
