I have a new PC with VMD enabled. I have a second SSD for extra storage that my PC can't see.

MOoD90s

Question

I bought a prebuilt gaming PC from a retailer.

I need help adding the SSD to my PC. I have installed the Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2TB SSD into the M2_2 slot of my ASUS B760M motherboard. VMD is enabled on the PC (by default), and the motherboard can't see the SSD. The main drive is also a SSD installed in the M.2_1 slot.

If I disable VMD, I get Boot device inaccessible BSOD on start-up, but the Samsung 2TB SSD is visible in the BIOS menu. How can I have both devices working on this PC? I really don't want to reinstall Windows if it's not necessary.

How can I get my PC to see this secondary storage SSD?
