I have 3 dell laptops from around 2020 that all have black screen start issues. It’s all the same issue. Turn it on the dell logo shows, the spinning loop starts then just goes blackscreen, it’s on as the leds lighting the screen are on. But nothing else happens. For my main laptop after three tries it does a memory test which always passes then goes to windows repair where I have to enter my bitlocker.
After that it asks me to do a repair / re install or shut down.
My other 11 inch will just hang on the start up and after a couple of tries it will beep really loudly a code which has to do with a display/video error even though all hardware is perfectly fine, even the connections to the display inside are not damaged etc at all.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix these issues? I am getting very frusturated with my systems.
I am on my iPad again now and at least this works reliably. I know one thing, I will NEVER own another dell device again.
