Okay, I give up. I use Veracrypt full disk encryption on all of my external SSD drives without problems, and am now trying to do a full system disc encryption of my main desktop SSD using Veracrypt. As I began, Veracrypt said that there was no space at the beginning of the drive to store the decrypt password and code, so the procedure failed. I have read everything that I can find on the web, but found no help with this. It appears that I will need to use diskpart to clean and create a small partition, then reinstall Windows 11. If this is true, would a partition of 1 MB be adequate, should I name this partition and should it remain unformatted ?
