"A symbolic link is a file system object that points to another file system object that is called the target. Symbolic links are transparent to users. The links appear as normal files or directories, and they can be acted upon by the user or application in exactly the same manner."
So what I'm doing it trying to put my photos/media phone to my NAS, iTunes doesn't allow just linking to a network share. So it stores everything in a folder on the main drive. If I make a symbolic link to the one iTunes is posting to and then to the NAS. In theory it should get the data from the NAS as there no other way for me to "fake it" for iTunes to work right and get it from a share on the network.
So my question before I set all this up is it possible for this to work if I understand this all right?
