Microsoft Pressure to "Upgrade" to Win 11 (cannot shut down properly)

Khan N Singh

Question

Hi guys,

No, I’m not trolling anyone here. But, I do have another Win10 / Win11 question.

Today, after I was done working a bit on my Win10 workstation, I went to shut the system down. Unfortunately, normal "shut down" was no longer available. I was only given options to "upgrade" to Win11 and then shut down. I had to do a hard shut down (pressing the power button) to get away from that. I am now more pissed off than ever at MS, and am tempted to blow them off forever.

Is there a way I can shut down properly while simultaneously bypassing this obnoxious prompt?

Thank you.
