Cannot download One-drive after deleting it
mfessler posted a question in AntiVirus, Firewalls and System Security
Hi all I deleted one drive because it was causing high memory issues. So then my pictures and documents did not get downloaded it left the folders as ghosts. So then I go to try download One drive and it keeps saying cannot download 64bit. So there is clearly a problem with One Drive. T hen I reported a problem in the other posts but got no response. For some reason when Microsoft Edge comes on it cause SeassonLoadingworkhost to pop up six ore more times eating memory and cpu. I have to manually end task with all of them in task manager. Its crazy! Where in the world did that come from? Can someone please let me know. Thanks -
Map to TP-Link AX3000 Multi-Gigabit Wi-Fi 6 Router USB share drive
Delly10 posted a question in Backup and Restore
I have a USB drive on my AX3000 Multi-Gigabit Wi-Fi 6 Router. I can connect to this drive with 5 other Windows 11 computers, my Linux computer and my phone and tablet, so my issue is not with the router or the USB share drive. I can see and get to TP-share, I can open TP-share with media player, even in the web browser http://192.168.0.1. So the computer can see and interact with the drive. My issue is I cannot map the drive. Using the same address instructed by TP-Link and the same address used on all my other devices do not work (\\tplinkwifi.net or \\tplinkwifi.net\g). One time it connected and then told me my credentials were not correct. On all my other devices I have no credentials. ?? I have changed some group policies I found searching the web but nothing has helped. This is a new laptop with Windows 11 Pro. What setting am I missing on this computer? NIMO N177 Edition Windows 11 Pro Version 25H2 Installed on 12/5/2025 OS build 26200.7171 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.265.0 Processor AMD Ryzen 7 8745HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics (3.80 GHz) Installed RAM 32.0 GB (28.8 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Pen and touch No pen or touch input is available for this display Thanks Jim -
I just got my mom and the household an HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-00x. It has an AMD Ryzen 5 CPU with Radeon Vega Graphics. The monitor is an HP 25x with NVIDIA G-SYNC. But is it me or is AMD CPU's not as good as Intel CPU's? Sometimes, when I log into Windows it has choppy performance, kind of slow, and buggy. Her old Intel CPU was slower but didn't have hangups like the AMD CPU does. Although, the Intel CPU was a Celeron. Also... This computer was not compatible with the Windows 11 upgrade because of its CPU. But it's too good of a computer to just dispose of. So, does anyone know of any driver programs that are "reputable" to find drivers for this machine? It's doing okay at the moment.

After opening 'Game controllers' Windows lists my devices (5) total. However if I select my T-Rudder 'Thrustmaster TFRP Pedals' then select Properties the game controller window merely closes. It does not do this with my other devices. Clicking on them and properties brings up the calibration window. Looking in Windows event viewer I see the following.... My file history backup only does my C: drive. I have no choice to do my D: drive. My old Windows 10 PC would let me select anything on my D: drive. I backup to an external USB 3.0 SSD. Seems kind of strange.

Had a few problems since updating to Samsung Magician 9 - anyone else? They are widely reported. The interface is too small and faint to read for a start off, and mine kept trying to restart, initialising and hanging. It seems buggy. Uninstalled it. Thankfully I found I still had the download for 8.3 in my downloads folder so reinstalled that - it doesn't seem to be available to download from Samsung.

Tried to print a MS word document today and it kept hanging and not connecting to the printer. Message at the top said Word failed to respond. Tried a few times, restarted and it was the same. Tried copying the text to notepad - the same. Tried printing from email - the same. So it's not word - it's the printer connection. It's an HP Envy. It was fine yesterday. Nothing has changed - no windows updates (they've been off for 2 or 3 weeks). Meanwhile a pop up from Samsung magician saying it needed to restart. Clicked on that and a small window appeared saying it was initialising. Which got stuck and stayed like that a long time. Did sfc/scannow and it found errors and repaired them. No difference - still no printing and still having the Samsung magician app popping up (cancelled it in task manager, restarted, set it to manual instead of automatic - but just the same). Checked in settings and the printer was no longer listed. Added it again. Opened HP smart to check printer status and issues - found all was fine. Asked if I wanted to print a test page. Yes. Nothing came out of the printer - that also got stuck. So not sure what's going on here, but the Samsung magician popup came up at the same time as printing failed. When

This tutorial will show you how to add or remove the AI Actions context menu for your account in Windows 11. Starting with Windows 11 build 262100.6725 (24H2), Microsoft is introducing AI actions in File Explorer. With AI actions in File Explorer, you can interact more deeply with your files by right-clicking to quickly take actions like editing images or summarizing documents. Like with Click to Do, AI actions in File Explorer allow you to stay in your flow while leveraging the power of AI to take advantage of editing tools in apps or Copilot functionality without having to open your file. AI actions in File Explorer are easily accessible. Gradually rolling out with Windows 11 build 26220.7344 (Dev & Beta), if there are no available or enabled AI Actions, this section will no longer show in the context menu. If you don't want or use the AI actions context menu, you can remove it. Reference: App Actions on Windows Overview Learn about App Actions on Windows, a framework that allows Windows apps to implement and register units of behavior that can be accessed from other apps and experiences, seamlessly integrating into user workflows. learn.microsoft.com EXAMPLE: "AI actions" context menu Here's How: 1 Open Settings (Win+I). 2 Click/tap on Apps on the left side, and click/tap on Actions on the right side. (see screenshot below) 3 Turn off all available app actions to remove the "AI actions" context menu. It seems to be doing good enough running 22H2 but after testing a few things in my sound settings it gave some sort of error message when I shut down. I was playing with the setting because the sound is a lot lower and softer with Win-11 . . . it's a lot "crisper" with Win-7 and I dont have an equalizer so I dont know what's causing it. So I guess that's sorta TWO questions but really just want to know if I should install 25H2 Thanks, John

Hello all, I cant get bitlocker auto-unlock to enable for my data drive. I get this blank dialog box popup when I try. I've tried the common DISM and SFC commands to make sure all the system files are intact. It came up with one file to repair, but the CBS log listed it as the Bluetooth driver file and it did fix it, but it wouldnt have anything to do with it. I also tried a repair install of Windows and it made no difference. This happened on the Dev build of 26220.7271. I did a clean install of Windows due to having some other issues, and this started after that. I thought maybe some files got botched during the install so I tried a repair install to see if it would fix it. No dice. Last night, my system updated to the newest Dev build so I thought I would check it again after that, and it still throws the same error. I have bitlocker enabled on both my OS drive and Data drive. Anyone have any ideas what is causing this and what I can do? Im thinking its probably a bug in the dev flights but not sure.

Duplicate and corrupted file detection apps?
mfessler posted a question in AntiVirus, Firewalls and System Security
Hi all, For various reasons my backup discipline has become undisciplined, so I have a lot of files and folders to sort out. I'm a little worried - perhaps unnecessarily - about corruption in files or on drives that haven't been touched in a long time, and I definitely have accumulated a lot of unecessary duplicates, typically with the same content, sometimes with variations on the same content (e.g. resized images) and often with different names or dates. I'm not really finding anything that will reliably detect corrupted files, and I'm guessing that it may not be possible without an original checksum to compare, but I guess it's possible a duplicate file finder might pick a fatally corrupted file with the same name up as the content might appear different? Or am I wildly wrong? To duplicate files, there seem to be a lot out there and a lot of people seem to have their own favourite, but I'm not really finding a consistent recommendation for something that's simple to use, fast, safe and foolproof (except perhaps AllDup). Is there an 'industry standard'? -
I'm finding the default display font size for ElevenForum a bit big and shouty. Is there any way to change this in preferences etc. or do I have to live with changing my browser display settings? TIA.

This tutorial will show you how to enable or disable Copilot Actions in the Copilot app for your account in Windows 11. Starting with the Copilot app version 1.25112.74 and higher, Microsoft is rolling out Copilot Actions to Windows Insiders worldwide, excluding EEA,. Copilot Actions is an AI agent that completes tasks for you by interacting with your apps and files, using vision and advanced reasoning to click, type and scroll like a human would. This transforms agents from passive assistants into active digital collaborators that can carry out complex tasks for you to enhance efficiency and productivity – like updating documents, organizing files, booking tickets or sending emails. After you’ve granted the agent access, when integrated with Windows, the agent can take advantage of what you already have on your PC, like your apps and data, to complete tasks for you. Copilot Actions can do the heavy lifting for you as a general purpose agent— simply describe the task you want to complete in your own words, and the agent will attempt to complete it by interacting with desktop and web applications. Whether you need a hand resizing or de-duplicating your recent vacation photos or need to extract info from a PDF or fill out repetitive forms, Copilot Actions can help. Copilot Actions is operating in the background, in its own Desktop. Actions are in preview and may make mistakes, please monitor their work closely. At any time, you can take over the task or check in on the progress of the action, including reviewing what actions have been taken. I bought my current laptop about 10 weeks ago and have been very happy with it. But twice in those 10 weeks, it rebooted spontaneously and I am baffled by why. By spontaneously, I mean that I didn't click on anything to make it reboot and I didn't get a BSOD yet the screen suddenly went black in the middle of writing an email and, after a brief pause, I saw that it was rebooting. It came back up fine with no obvious damage done aside from losing the email I was writing but I'm concerned there may be an underlying problem with it. It's still under warranty and if there is a system issue of some kind, I'd rather fix it free under warranty that have to pay for it later. Is there any way to determine WHY it crashed? Will there be any logs or such that can pinpoint what happened and why?

I finally took the plunge and did a clean install of our Dell 7591 2n1 since it was getting sluggish and I wanted to get rid of all those "extra" partitions and simplify the machine. After booting into the "new" machine with now just 52.2 GB of used space, I was surprised to see, according to Disk Management, a GPT disk 0 and another disk reported, Disk 1, 27.25GB size and it being an unallocated MBR disk to boot! Images of Disk Mgt and MiniTool below. MiniTool doesn't show any options allowing me to put this back onto the C drive disk so what can I do with this?

The standard Windows 11 File Explorer gives me headaches. I've tried *everything* to make it more readable, but even looking at the standard Home, Gallery, or Personal folders gives me headaches due to eyestrain; trying to work in the other folders eventually gives me headaches, too. I've currently downscaled resolution to 1280x720 to make text bigger and bolder everywhere, I've reduced gamma to make bold text bolder, I've used Better Cleartype Tuner to make it bolder, etc. I've experimented with other options, too. I understand that Files, Total Commander, etc. are alternatives to the standard Windows 11 File Explorer, but I can't find info about readability and/or general accessibility. I tried searching the Windows Store, but search is broken, so searches for "accessibility," even with quotes, yield a lot of unrelated results. I have hearing issues so I can't use screen readers. I tried Winver, but I couldn't copy and paste the info to read it.
